Your privacy is critically important to us. At LifeScribe, we have a few fundamental principles:
LifeScribe is designed to be a private, offline-first application that syncs via Apple's iCloud services.
All your journal entries, mood logs, and goals are stored locally on your device and synchronized to your private iCloud container. We (the developers of LifeScribe) do not have access to your data. It is encrypted by Apple and accessible only by you.
With your explicit permission, LifeScribe interacts with the Apple Health app (HealthKit) to display your steps, sleep analysis, and water intake.
LifeScribe uses Local Authentication (Face ID / Touch ID) to secure your journal. This authentication happens entirely on-device via the iOS Secure Enclave. We do not receive or store your biometric data.
LifeScribe does not track you. We do not use third-party analytics services (like Google Analytics or Mixpanel) to track your behavior or collect personally identifiable information.
